The Dead Sea - The Dead Sea Beaches

The Dead Sea is known for providing a one of a kind beach experience. Visit to the Dead Sea’s sandy shores are synonymous with floating in the salty water.  And, of course, taking photos after covering yourself with mineral mud.

There are four main beaches along the Dead Sea that offer attractions for a “proper” visit to these unique shores.

The Ein Gedi Beach  Located across the way from the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, this public beach features spa services with indoor and outdoor pools, massage options, mineral mud and direct Dead Sea beach access for its guests.

Ein Bokek and Neve Zohar are the Dead Sea’s main hotel strips. The area includes mineral mud, fresh water showers, umbrellas, towels and lounge chairs for the private use of their guests, whereas public beaches offer the same services for a minimal fee. Restaurants, fast food stands, malls and stores dot the surrounding area with attractions for tourists of all ages and nationalities.  Many top-notch health and beauty spas can be found in and around the hotels at Ein Bokek and Neve Zohar.

The Mineral Beach provides these same services, along with a fresh water alternative and natural sulfur pools for those interested in taking a swim instead of a float.

Due to the unique climate found in the Dead Sea region, these beaches provide a healthier alternative for sun-lovers with extra atmospheric layers that provide natural protection from harmful UV rays. Cooler evening hours also make the Dead Sea beaches a popular spot for overnight camping trips for local Israeli outdoor adventurers.
