In this track we'll climb a mountain, go down the slope, slide in dry waterfalls and finish off with a narrow and shaded canyon.We'll start the circular track in the black-marked path from that starts in the parking lot while walking on black - red fragments of granite stones that distinguish the region of the Eilat Mountains from the rest of the mountains in the country, consisting mainly of limestone, dolomite and chalk, a remnant of the ancient Tethys Sea flood. Further down the track, we will cross a creek, climb on the opposite branch and again descend into another creek. When we reach the point where the trail meanders into two, we'll choose the route marked in red, proceed up the channel and after about 300 meters, and start to climb the mountain on the left. Looking closely at the granite rock will reveal colorful minerals dots in different sizes. This rock was created by the gradual formation of the liquid trend below the earth's crust and following exposure of rock surface as a result of weathering it has undergone over the years and following the lifting of the depths of the earth by the great forces that formed the Great Rift Valley that crosses Israel along the Jordan Valley and the Arava north to south. The climb uphill ends in the saddle from which we'll slide down on the slope into the creek below. When we reach an additional split of paths, we'll turn left towards south east to the green marked footpath which will lead us to the Black Canyon. At the outset of progress down the canyon, the canyon walls are closing on both sides by high black cliffs.In some places, the width of the channel does not exceed 1 meter and the high walls make the walk on this stretch of desert cool and pleasant.The dry waterfalls are scattered along the track and require little displays of courage, acrobatics, jumps and slides on the backside. From here, we'll go about a 1.5 km and we will get back to the parking lot.How to get there: Take route 90 from Eilat north. At 20km, we head west with the Amram Pillars signs and Shkhoret Canyon and 3.5 km later, we reach the parking lot.
