Hundred meters from the border with Lebanon located Snir Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Israel.
Snir Stream also known as Hasbani River and it is one of the important sources of the Jordan River within Israel.
Snir Stream derives most of its discharge from two springs in Lebanon, the wazany,near the lebaneas border and the other,20 Km north near the town of Hasbaya in Lebanon.The contribution of the Wazzani spring is very important, since this is the only continuous year-round flow in to the river, in either Lebanon or Israel.
Walking in the nature reserve is 2 Km along the Stream, between the waterfalls, River vegetation and pools. Part of the route includes walking is in the water.
After several km, from Kibbutz Sde Nehemia the Hasbani joins Dan and Hermon (Banias) and three of them merged into the Jordan River.
Openning hours: Summer: 08:00 to 16:00 Last entry. Site closed at 17:00 Winter: 08:00 to 15:00 Last entry. Site closed at 16:00 Friday: 8:00 to 15:00 You can enter the reserve to an hour before closing time listed.
